Match Preview:
It’s been a season to forget for Sheffield United who were not able to recover even when they sacked Paul Heckinbottom earlier in the season and brought back Chris Wilder. The club are rock bottom and have just 16 points and there are echoes here of how poor Derby were when they made it to the Premier League 14 years ago. In truth the Blades have played some good football and they have let leads slip in the final ten minutes and like Burnley and Luton who have also gone down with them, it is this naivety and focus which has cost them their top flight status and they must try to make it to the Premier League all over again. For the Blades even a win here would change little but it would of course cheer up the long suffering fans who have only seen two wins here this season. They have also had to witness an average of 3 goals per game shipped.
Tottenham’s loss to Manchester City means that City will probably win the league but the players really tried to upset the odds. It was a strange game because had Tottenham won or even drawn it would have played into the hands of Arsenal, and it was clear as daylight that the players didn’t care for that but the fans did. This is an incredibly important game for the club because if they lost here and Chelsea won then Tottenham would be dumped into the Europa Conference League after thinking that at the bare minimum they would be playing in the Europa League. It has been a poor few weeks for the club who have seen Aston Villa run into the distance and qualify for the Champions League at their expense. Tottenham has lost 4 of their last 5 games and while the City loss sealed the clubs European fate it was really lost over the course of the past month. On the road Tottenham have the devils number of 6-6-6, thankfully whatever happens to them in this game that stat will change. The club's last away game finished in a 4-2 loss against Liverpool and they have lost their last three away games in a row.

Sheffield United: Oliver McBurnie and Ben Osborn will be assessed for fitness issues as they try to make it back for the final game of the season. Rhys Norrington-Davies, Tom Davies, Chris Basham, John Egan and George Baldock are all out
Tottenham: Giovanni Lo Celso has a knock and will have to be assessed. Destiny Udogie, Yves Bissouma, Richarlison, Ryan Sessegnon, Manor Soloman and Timo Werner are all missing

Sheffield United will try to create an atmosphere and make this a difficult match for Tottenham and we expect to see a strong performance from the bottom side team and to do themselves proud, this is what this game is about. There will be emotions because of the finality of the situation even though fans have had a lot of time to process the relegation. As for Tottenham, they had a raging manager last time out and we expect to see a response, but we have a feeling that the Blades if they can make this as an important game they will be playing in for a few years, then they have a chance to cause a surprise and we cannot rule them out, they come here with no pressure, Tottenham come here on a stormy ship.
