Match Preview:
The minimum objective for Leeds this season was to finish 17th, it was all about surviving their first Premier League campaign in 17 years. So the fact that the club are in 11th with 39 points signifies a huge success for Marcelo Bielsa’s side.
True Leeds have been frustrating at times with their naivety but they have also pulled off some terrific results and played good attacking and attractive football. The club are unbeaten in their last 2 games and should come into this game with good spirits and will obviously start as the favourites to win. At home Leeds have won 5 but they have lost six and their last win here was nearly six weeks ago when they beat Southampton 3-0.
Sheffield United are rudderless at the moment and it is unfortunate for interim manager Paul Heckingbottom who has been thrown in at the deep end. His first game in charge following Chris Wilder’s sudden departure saw his club lose 5-0 to Leicester. This feels like a no win situation as the Blades will go down this season and they enter this game 14 points from safety.
It is difficult to see what the motivation for the club will be, although not to finish rock bottom could be a start and they are currently 4 points behind West Bromwich Albion. Predictably Sheffield United have the worst away record in the league where they lost 12 of their 14 games so far.

Leeds: Mateusz Klich has Covid-19 and looks like a doubt to recover for this game.
Sheffield United: Chris Basham is out with a knock, John Egan is a big doubt because of fitness issues. Jack Robinson is likely still out with a knock. Billy Sharp has a thigh injury and Enda Stevens has a knock but is being tipped to be fine for this game.

The recent history of this game has seen few goals but we think that could change here. Both have nothing to play for in a way, so both can be relaxed and try to enjoy their football. True Sheffield United are not down yet but why fight it- they will be going down in a few weeks time. Maybe it is time to throw off the shackles and try to take some risks so the players can enjoy their football.
If this happens we could see an entertaining game and end to end play. Patrick Bamford is in good form and we will back him to get a goal here. As for the home side they look slightly short on the full time result so it may be worth backing them to be leading by half time.
