England Premier League
Saturday 30th September 2023
Kick off at 5:30pm BST
Venue: Tottenham Hotspur Stadium
Match Preview:
This looks like it could be the game of the weekend in the Premier League and with both sides getting off to strong starts and still unbeaten it will be a fascinating encounter.
Under Ange Postecoglou Tottenham have looked more confident and sharper in their decisions and they have a never say die attitude. Just witness their last frentic game at home as they were losing 1-0 against Sheffield United in the 96th minute and came back to win it. That game marked Postecoglou’s 50th one as unbeaten at home, will it finally go this weekend? Last weekend Tottenham drew 2-2 away to Arsenal which was an excellent result for them. Tottenham had been trailing twice in the game and yet managed to come back and Heung Min-Son looks like a different player from last season, he is happy and is scoring goals and just seems in a very good place. In the league Tottenham are in 4th place and four points behind leaders Manchester City and two behind Liverpool so a win would put them past them.
Liverpool are looking slick and despite Manchester City having a 100% record the Reds are only two points adrift of their fierce rivals. Jurgen Klopp’s side started the season with a draw but since then they have won every game, that’s five in a row as they try to chase down City. Their last game ended in a 3-1 home win over West Ham and their last away game also ended 3-1 in their favour as they overcame Wolves. With 15 goals scored only two teams have more than the Reds who have scored 9 goals in their last three games. In midweek there was more success for Liverpool as they knocked out Leicester in the EFL Cup winning that game 3-1.

Tottenham vs Liverpool Prediction:
Tottenham have shown grit and been impressive and that can’t be denied but at the weekend they will be up against their toughest fixture to date. The club play good football and have very good players and are looking superb on the counter and that will be dangerous for Liverpool. But Tottenham have also got lucky this season at times and at other times they may have had six points less.
Liverpool have better attacking options and are in brilliant form and they have a superb record over their opponents and while they won’t have it their own way at times we believe the Reds can win this game despite this being away from home. Mohamed Salah seems like the obvious choice to get on the score sheet and we won’t be breaking ground suggesting he will score. But the proof is in the pudding and the forward has scored 3 goals past Tottenham in the last two meetings. Both teams to score has a fantastic strike rate in recent games but the bookies are onto this and offering 1.30 in a market that is normally between 1.57 and 1.80 so backing the Liverpool win and both teams to score gives us better value and could be worth picking.
Tottenham vs Liverpool Betting Tips:
Liverpool to beat Tottenham at 2.10
Anytime goalscorer: Mohamed Salah at 2.20
