Match Preview:
The 205th north London derby has a lot riding on it, and if Arsenal win then they would have qualified for the Champions League next season and at Tottenham’s expense. There is a huge rivalry of course between the teams so Champions League qualification just adds even more spice to proceedings in what should be quite a game.
Tottenham are in 5th place and have 62 points and are four points behind Arsenal in 4th. This is a must win game for Antonio Conte’s side and while form hasn’t been too bad coming into this game, it’s only two wins from their last five. Last weekend Tottenham took a rare point away against Liverpool and may well have scuppered Jurgen Klopp’s title hopes in the process and at the same time actually doing themselves little favours. Tottenham really needed victory over Liverpool and have drawn a few games lately also.
If Tottenham win this game the fate of Champions League football is still in Arsenal’s hands but of course the club will give themselves every chance to pounce with two games to go.
Arsenal have not always been great this season and they remain a shadow of their great team from 20 years ago but they have shown more consistency than most clubs and are in rich form coming into this game. It’s four wins in a row for the Gunners and their latest victory came at home with a 2-1 win over Leeds. There have also been wins over the likes of Manchester United and Chelsea so Arsenal have been tested lately and they are also scoring goals too. It’s been almost a month since the club lost a game and away from home they have the sixth best record in the league and have won 9 games so far.
It’s important to note though that the Gunners have blown hot and cold away from home although they have won their last two games, their goal difference on the road is currently zero.
Team News:
Tottenham: There are no new injuries for the club ahead of this game. Regulars Sergio Reguilon (groin) and Matt Doherty (knee) are out for the season.
Arsenal: Ben White could return after his hamstring injury and will be assessed. Kieran Tierney (knee) and Thomas Partey (thigh) could well miss the rest of the season.

Antonio Conte was brought into Tottenham to get them back in the Champions League. He has had quite a job on his hands and qualify or not fans will be hoping that the Italian will stay with them for next season. Conte is up against Arteta and if we talk about quality of manager and what each manager has won there is no competition, Conte wins hands down. But the team are of course more equal. But this game has to be about Conte and how he sets up his team, they are a team who may fall at the final hurdle but this can’t be that fall, they have to win this game and give themselves a chance with two games left to play, so we will pull on the experience of what Conte gives this team. Let’s not forget of course that Tottenham are the home side, have a very good team and Arsenal have not travelled well to Tottenham in the past decade, so we will back them to get the win.
Heung-Min Son is back on form and we find when he gets one he follows up with a few more. He has scored plenty of goals against Arsenal too, so we will back him to get another and of course he has finishing as top goalscorer on his mind too. We will also back both teams to score too as that has a high percentage chance of coming in.
