Match Preview:

These aren’t bad times to be a Manchester United fan and they celebrated their fantastic 4-1 midweek win over Chelsea by qualifying for the Champions League next season, they also have an FA Cup final against Manchester City to look forward to as manager Erik ten Hag will try and win his first trophy with the club.

True United have blown hot and cold this season but at times they have looked back to their best and their home form remains very solid. United have had to see Newcastle in 3rd place for a long time, now they have that position and win here and they will keep it, you get the sense it will mean a lot for a club who have been through the ringer the last few years especially. Form is good with 3 wins in a row coming into this game with victories over Chelsea of course and also Bournemouth and Wolves, and Marcus Rashford has been welcomed back in the side again after injury and he was able to get on the score sheet against Chelsea. At home Ten Hag’s side have been really impressive and they have the 2nd best form in the league even better than Arsenal and they have won 45 points from 54 losing just once. It is interesting to note that despite Harry Maguire receiving harsh criticism he is part of a defence that has conceded just 9 goals at home and that is by far the best record in the league.

Fulham play for nothing as they can’t move up a place and can’t move down. Whatever happens they will finish in 10th place and while they have just been short of a European place this has still got to be considered a successful season for the Cottagers, who usually can be seen struggling in a relegation dogfight. Fulham drew their last game 2-2 against Crystal Palace and are unbeaten in their last three games as they look to finish the season strongly. On the road the Cottagers have the 6th best record which is strong but we should remind ourselves that they have lost 9 games this season also.

Man Utd vs Fulham Prediction:

Manchester United are looking red hot and the players seem up for the challenge and will be galvanised that they have qualified for the Champions League. It should be a party atmosphere at the stadium and United have a fantastic record at home anyway and a fantastic record over Fulham. For us this is the banker of the weekend. United can be taken on at 1.50 to win the game but we think they will start quick and with a buzz to the team so backing the ht/ft could be the way to go here to give us even more value.

United’s great defence at home means that they may be able to keep a clean sheet too, and we know they are full of goals so for smaller stakes it may be worth backing the correct score again at excellent value.
