Sunday's Games:
With one win from their first four games West Ham have not started the season well under new manager Julen Lopetegui. But worse so because Hammers fans especially judge that they are not playing good football. Last weekend the club were heading for defeat against Fulham but pulled off a 1-1 draw. More eyes are on Chelsea because of how much money they have spent in the last 18 months, they have blown hot and cold but have won 50% of their games so far. This is set to be another difficult challenge for the home side.
Prediction: 2-1 to Chelsea
Recommended Betting Tips: Chelsea to beat West Ham at 2.10, Anytime goalscorer: Cole Palmer at 2.25, Anytime goalscorer: Christopher Nkunku at 2.75
Aston Villa vs Wolves Preview:
Maybe questions were raised when Aston Villa lost at home to Arsenal a few weeks ago, a team they had derailed last season but Villa are back on track. They came back last weekend from 2-0 down to beat Everton and won their debut game in the Champions League in midweek. Unai Emery’s side look full of confidence. The same cannot be said of Wolves who were dumped out of the EFL Cup in midweek and are yet to win in this campaign losing 3 games already. This duel looks like a home banker.
Prediction: 3-0 to Aston Villa
Recommended Betting Tips: Aston Villa to beat Wolves at 1.57, First goalscorer: Ollie Watkins at 5.00, Over 2.5 goals at 1.57
Fulham were shocked in midweek as they were knocked out of the EFL Cup on penalties by Preston. In the league the Cottagers have 5 points from their opening four games, and not many fans will complain too much about that. Marco Silva’s side have managed to go their last 3 games unbeaten. Newcastle are unbeaten and come into this game in 3rd place with 10 points and have started strongly. Their last three games have all ended with 2-1 victories.
Prediction: 2-0 to Newcastle
Recommended Betting Tips: Newcastle to beat Fulham at 2.30, Anytime goalscorer: Alexander Isak at 2.50
On one hand Leicester are not playing poorly but on the other they are yet to win and from four games they have just 2 points. At home they have lost to Aston Villa and drawn against Tottenham. Everton have lost all four of their opening games and blew a two goal lead for the second successive weekend as they lost to Aston Villa last weekend. Sean Dyche’s side were also knocked out of the EFL Cup in midweek on penalties against Southampton. There is a lot of pressure on the club and perhaps being away from home may relieve some of that, but this still looks like a tough challenge for the Toffees.
Prediction: 1-1 draw
Recommended Betting Tips: Result: Draw at 3.25, Both teams to score at 1.60
Liverpool vs Bournemouth Preview:
You’d have to fear for Bournemouth in this game because of what happened the last time Liverpool played at Anfield. Last weekend the Reds were shocked as they lost 1-0 against Nottingham Forest and no one will be expecting to see two home defeats in a row. Plus Arne Slot’s side bounced back in the best possible fashion in midweek with a glorious 3-1 win over AC Milan away from home in the Champions League. The Cherries have been solid and only lost their first game of the season to Chelsea 1-0 last weekend.
Prediction: 3-0 to Liverpool
Recommended Betting Tips: Half Time/Full Time: Liverpool/Liverpool at 1.80, Anytime goalscorer: Mohamed Salah at 1.72, Anytime goalscorer: Cody Gakpo at 2.50
Southampton vs Ipswich Preview:
The two poorest sides in the Premier League season so far have been Southampton and Everton and the Saints were able to beat the Toffees when they met in the EFL Cup in midweek albeit on penalties after a 1-1 draw. Can that provide a boost for them as they seek their first win of the season? Ipswich have drawn their last two games as they also look for their first win of the campaign, last weekend they impressively held Brighton to a 0-0 draw away from home.
Prediction: 2-1 to Southampton
Recommended Betting Tips: Southampton to beat Ipswich at 2.25, Anytime goalscorer: Tyler Dibling at 4.00, Both teams to score at 1.62
Tottenham vs Brentford Preview:
It’s not been an easy week for Tottenham because in a nutshell the club have not started the season strongly. Last weekend they were beaten 1-0 at home to arch enemy Arsenal. In midweek the club was heading for the exit in the EFL Cup against Coventry with just two minutes remaining but came back to win 2-1. Despite some problems they will be the favourites to win this game. Up front Richarlison remains out and Yves Bissouma is also a doubt. Brentford narrowly lost 2-1 away to Manchester City last weekend and will expect to be competitive.
Prediction: 3-2 to Tottenham
Recommended Betting Tips: Tottenham to beat Brentford at 1.50, Anytime goalscorer: Dominic Solanke at 2.10, Over 3.5 goals at 2.10
Crystal Palace vs Manchester United Preview:
The Eagles are yet to win so far but have drawn their last two games and last weekend drew 2-2 at home to Leicester. In midweek they were able to beat QPR in the EFL Cup. Manchester United have won their last two games in a row after beating Southampton 3-0 and then in midweek they stuck 7 goals past a hapless Barnsley. Not great opposition but games that must be won which has eased the pressure a little on manager Erik ten Hag. United are still in 10th place though so this game feels like a must win one. Rasmus Hojlund remains only a 50/50 chance to make this game for the away side.
Prediction: 3-1 to Manchester United
Recommended Betting Tips: Manchester United to beat Crystal Palace at 2.50, Anytime goalscorer: Marcus Rashford at 3.00
Brighton vs Nottingham Forest Preview:
Both clubs have started very solid and so we could be in for a very exciting game when these two clash on Sunday. Brighton did drop points last weekend as they could only draw at home to Ipswich. Nottingham Forest recorded one of the great results in the Premier League by beating Liverpool 1-0 and inflicting Arne Slot’s first defeat as Liverpool manager. It’s 6th vs 7th with both clubs undefeated, something's got to give. We expect a close game but Forest may just have the bounce in their step to cause a second successive upset.
Prediction: 1-0 to Nottingham Forest
Recommended Betting Tips: Nottingham Forest to beat Brighton at 4.33, Under 2.5 goals at 1.91
Manchester City vs Arsenal Preview:
These two giants are expected to finish this season in 1st and 2nd but in which order is the question. The champions have looked brilliant with four wins out of four and Erling Haaland is looking for his 100th goal for the club in just two years. City could only draw 0-0 against Inter Milan in midweek in the Champions League at home. Kevin De Bruyne could miss this game which would be an obvious blow. For Arsenal they will be without Martin Odegaard who could miss the next month with his ankle. The Gunners will defend well and try to frustrate the wave of attacks and counter- expect fireworks!
Prediction: 2-2 draw
Recommended Betting Tips: Half Time: Draw at 2.10, Over 2.5 goals at 2.02, Anytime goalscorer: Erling Haaland at 2.23, Anytime goalscorer: Kai Havertz at 5.00
