Aston Villa come into this midweek game in search of a win. Unai Emery's side remain one of the best clubs in the country but have no wins in their past four outings. Villa have fallen to 9th and are 22 points shy of their visitors. For Liverpool they continue to seek out the league title and could move 10 points clear of 2nd placed Arsenal albeit having played a game more. Form for the Reds has seen four wins and one draw and away from home they have amassed 31 points from a possible 39 and have the best away record in the league.
