Match Preview:
If we look at the form in the last 10 games Chelsea would be in 3rd place in the Premier League and that says everything about the hard work being achieved at the club in what has been a troublesome season for them. But there is a good chance that the Blues will qualify for Europe now and they are finishing the season very strongly. Recent form has seen wins over Tottenham, West Ham, Nottingham Forest and Brighton and goals are coming too with the team netting 12 times in those matches.
Chelsea are in 6th place which feels like a huge achievement given their season but if they lost here and Newcastle won they would lose that position. There is a small chance that the club could even finish in 5th and qualify for the Europa League but they would need Tottenham to lose their final game which is against bottom club Sheffield United and they should be winning that. Chelsea have won 10 home games this season and would be in seventh place based on home form alone.
Bournemouth are in 11th place and they have blown hot and cold this season. They should be happy but there will be a tinge of disappointment that they were not able to finish in the top 9, they had come very close at one point. The club looked to have found some form winning two games in a row last month but they have followed that up and come into this game with back to back losses which have come against Arsenal which may have been expected but last week they lost at home to Brentford, which of course was their final home game of the season.
Team News:
Chelsea: Reece James is suspended for 4 games so that will affect the beginning of next season after his red card last weekend. Carney Chukwuemeka is in line to return from fitness issues and will be assessed. Romeo Lavia, Enzo Fernandez, Wesley Fofana, Mykhalo Mudryk and Robert Sanchez are all out
Bournemouth: Romain Favre and Chris Mepham will be assessed and may play a part in the final game of the season. Ryan Fredericks and Luis Sinisterra are both out

The last time the clubs played here in 2022 Chelsea won 2-0.
Earlier in the season in the reverse fixture the game finished 0-0.
Chelsea vs Bournemouth Prediction:
Chelsea have been one of the best sides in the Premier League over the past six weeks and their form has really improved with just one defeat in their past 14 games. Manager Mauricio Pochettino has been under a lot of pressure this season especially when the team was in 11th place but they look set for a good finish and European football for next season. At home Chelsea have been able to turn it on and this being the last game and with some key players on form we expect the Blues to not only win this game but get a few goals too and we wouldn’t be surprised if they can get a really good score over their opponents. Bournemouth can’t finish higher than 10th this season and of course come into this game having lost back to back clashes, we expect this to be a very difficult late afternoon for them and quite a party end of season atmosphere for the home side.
