Venue: Amex Stadium
Match Preview:
Brighton have had a solid start to the new season and come into this weekend in 5th place with 12 points and are just three behind the leaders Manchester City. The Seagulls only loss so far came at home to West Ham but that is looking like more of a blip than anything else and they have recovered since then to pull off two fantastic results. The first was a 3-1 win over Newcastle and the second was another 3-1 win over Manchester United which was impressive given that it was away from home. These are wonderful times for a club who have faced many seasons in the past in lower leagues or in a relegation fight.
There was some disappointment in midweek as the clubs European adventure did not get off to a good start as they lost 3-2 at home to Greek side AEK Athens but it felt more like a learning curve than anything else and manager Roberto De Zerbi will be determined to get his side back on track for this outing.
Bournemouth have struggled more and are looking for their first win of the season but they have at least drawn three of their games so far from the five played. Last weekend was seen as a good point as the Cherries frustrated Chelsea with that game finishing 0-0. The clubs last away game ended in a battling 2-2 draw against Brentford. Indeed Bournemouth’s two defeats so far would have been expected coming against Tottenham and Liverpool and while they are in 15th place and needing to taste victory it hasn’t been the worst start for the club, there are signs in their play that they will improve as the season goes on.

Brighton vs Bournemouth Prediction:
We all know how good Brighton have been over the past 18 months and the side seem to be improving but one has to question if their market price to win this game is good value at 1.40? While we think the Seagulls can get the job done we will be looking for better value and that may be had in backing the halftime market. In three of the last 4 meetings we have seen Brighton in the lead by half time.
There are plenty of goalscorers in this Brighton side and we will be keeping a close eye on Evan Ferguson who has already looked very impressive this season and he is set to play here after recovering from illness and is good value to get on the score sheet. Bournemouth are not at the level from four years ago where they showed some promise and this season looks set to be a tough one for them and they will have more joy at home than away from it, so it is a home win for us.
Brighton vs Bournemouth Betting Tips:
