Match Preview:
Sunday is almost a full fixture list of Premier League games and we kick off with the one and only north London derby when Arsenal take on Tottenham. Given that both sides are unbeaten and Tottenham have a new manager this will add extra spice to what should be a great game.
Arsenal are in 4th place with four games won from five and there only dropped points so far was when they drew 2-2 at home to Fulham which was seen as a surprise result. Arsenal’s last game finished in a hard fought 1-0 win away to Everton and their last home game was a 3-1 win over old rival Manchester United. In midweek it was back to European activity for the Gunners and the Champions League and they had no trouble in dispatching PSV at home winning that game 4-0. There are good vibes around this Arsenal side who have a sense of unfinished business about them as they try to challenge for the league title once again.
Tottenham were supposed to struggle this season after the departure of Harry Kane, instead though they seem to have improved. New manager Ange Postecoglou has been a revelation so far and has moulded a side to show no fear and keep on attacking. He has hinted that his side will not back down in this game and try to start on the front foot. It’s so far so good for Tottenham who head into this game with the same points as Arsenal (13) but because of goal difference they are in 2nd place. The club are unbeaten and have won their last 4 games in a row although last weekend they were heading for a defeat at home to Sheffield United. The Blades were 1-0 up in the 97th minute but two astonishing late goals from Spurs won them the game and the good times continue to roll on.
Tottenham have no European football this season so unlike their opponents they could rest up and their last away game ended in a 5-2 win over Burnley. The club are also scoring goals too and have 13 so far which is four more than Arsenal at the same stage.
Team News:
Arsenal: Gabriel Martinelli is a doubt with a muscle issue. Jurrien Timber (knee) and Thomas Partey (groin) are both missing.
Tottenham: A big blow for the club has seen the news that Ivan Perisic will miss the rest of the season due to a knee injury. Giovani Lo Celso is out for at least a month with a thigh issue. Bryan Gil and Rodrigo Bentancur are due back in four weeks and Ryan Sessegnon is still sidelined with a hamstring injury.

Arsenal vs Tottenham Prediction:
It could be argued that we haven’t seen the best of these sides just yet despite their positive starts. At times Arsenal have found it hard to put away their opponents and some games could have ended in dropped points, think 1-0 wins over Crystal Palace and Everton. But Arsenal will absolutely rise to the occasion here and we expect to see a very aggressive and focused performance from them.
Tottenham will be a threat but for Mikel Arteta he needs to be able to draw on his Premier League experience and get the job done at home and we believe that Arsenal has the qualities to inflict Tottenham’s first defeat of the season and will be backing the home side to do so. Gabriel Jesus has scored against Tottenham in the past and he is looking more sharper now as he has come back from injury. But players like Declan Rice will lap the derby atmosphere up, that is why he came to play for Arsenal for the big game days and we expect him to shine in midfield adding weight to an Arsenal victory.
